Pink Digital Camera!

The Pink Digital Camera is an exciting  modern sensation, taking hold of womens' creative depths and fashion flair at the same time! Pink products are everywhere, but when it comes to electronics, the pink digital camera seems to tromp even the pink cell phone! Even though it has only been on the market for a short few years, the pink digital camera has become a niche item in the digital camera world that is rivaled by no other.

Half the population interested in digital cameras - women - have found an expression through more than the pictures they take; the pink digital camera has also become a fashion accessory, since pink is, yes, the cliche'd color of choice for girls. And what a beautiful cliche it is. Digital cameras are now offered in every color you can imagine, from blue to orange to lime to silver... yet there's only one color that unequivocally defines one as belonging to a girl. Pink. And they are being snapped up like candy.
     And manufacturers are taking this seriously: pink digital cameras are not being made like cheap fluffy toys; they are being made with the same quality and professional specifications as any other 'regular' digital camera. As each new generation of digital camera leaps into the market, with higher and higher resolutions and more features and accessories... a pink digital camera model is made to match and keep up.

Pink Digital Cameras doing what they do best

     Long-time camera makers, those that have been around for decades before the invention of the digital camera, are embracing the pink digital camera. Camera manufacturers like Canon, Fuji, Pentax, Nikon, Kodak, Olympus and others who have been supplying cameras for decades have embraced the digital camera and battle to create the next hot model, including the pink; and newer camera makers that have become well-known more recently for digital cameras (even if the companies existed long before that, producing electronics of other kinds) have injected powerful competition by jumping into the digital camera game; companies such as Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, GE, VistaQuest, and Casio may have been around for years with other products, but with the advent of digital cameras they have become serious contenders to quench the hungry consumers' desire for the best digital cameras.
     We have to say: we LOVE the pink digital camera. That is why we have created this website. It's just the IDEA of the pink digital camera. It's such a powerful symbol of a woman and her vision: capturing the art around you, through the lens of another piece of modern electronic art, made specifically for women. The model of camera is up to you; we hope to post many reviews of different models, by people who own and use them. There are many pink models made by many camera makers, and they are the same models as those made in other colors;
     But since this whole website is meant to provide a complete shopping and resource base for all things around the pink digital camera, we want to build up a helpful and accurate resource of all things photography... for women.

     We'll be updating the site regularly with new additions, fleshing things out, so be patient and bear with us. We want to provide a backdrop for your best digital pictures and that is the purpose for one of PDC's sister sites, PinkLens.com, which we will be building very soon. Please read a little about it on that page. We have other exciting resources planned and will let you know when they're ready.
     On a final note, please read a little about breast cancer and feel welcome to contribute, we will be placing a Breast Cancer Awareness link on the top right of the page very soon, to take you to a site that always appreciates more help... and TO help.
